Forge Motorsport Intake Kit for VW Up 1.0 TSI and GTI
The Forge Motorsport Intake Kit is specifically designed for the VW Up 1.0 TSI and GTI models. It features a bespoke aluminium housing that is powder coated black for a sleek OEM look and added durability. The housing also serves the dual purpose of protecting the filter from heat soak, ensuring optimal performance.
Due to the compact engine bay of the VW Up, the development team faced challenges in finding a suitable location for an aftermarket induction kit. After extensive testing and exploration of different locations, we have determined that this induction kit is the most suitable option for the VW Up in terms of performance and aesthetics. With gains of 5bhp and 6lb/ft torque throughout the rev range, we are extremely pleased with the performance results. Mapped vehicles can expect even higher gains.
The Forge silicone hose included in the kit has a larger bore and smooth finish inside, allowing for optimum flow. It is available in three colours: black, red, or blue. The construction of this hose exceeds that of the OEM fitments and enhances both the technical and aesthetic aspects of the engine bay. It comes with a lifetime warranty for added peace of mind.
The filter included in the kit is manufactured to Forge’s specifications by Pipercross. It features a washable and reusable design with layered multi-density foam technology. Designed and manufactured in Great Britain, this filter offers improved engine power and torque while providing superior protection against dirt and dust ingress. It is designed to flow stronger for longer.
For further heat protection, you can add gold tape to the underside of the aluminium housing. The gold tape reflects heat from the engine, preventing heat soak. The tape comes on a 5-meter roll, allowing you to easily apply it to the underside of your Forge Motorsport product.
Fitting the Forge Motorsport Intake Kit is straightforward and can be completed in 20-30 minutes. No cutting or modification to the vehicle is required, allowing for easy reversal back to stock.
