Custom Bonnet & Wings Policy (UK)

This policy complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.


1. Custom & Made-to-Order Products

1.1 The majority of bonnets and wings sold on this website are custom-made and produced to the customer’s specifications.

1.2 Each bonnet and/or pair of wings is handmade in accordance with the options selected at the time of purchase.

1.3 We do not usually hold ready-made stock. In most cases, items are produced specifically in response to a confirmed order.

1.4 Production will begin once full payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.


2. Production Lead Times

2.1 The estimated production lead time for custom bonnets and wings is 4 to 12 weeks.

2.2 Lead times are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

2.3 Lead times may vary depending on:

  • Order volume

  • Availability of materials

  • Seasonal demand

  • Complexity of customisation

2.4 Lead times are subject to change during peak periods, including but not limited to Christmas and other holiday seasons.

2.5 Lead times do not include:

  • Bank holidays

  • Public holidays

  • Scheduled business closures

2.6 If there is a significant delay, customers will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.


3. Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

3.1 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers generally have the right to cancel online orders within 14 days.

3.2 However, this right does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalised.

3.3 As our bonnets and wings are custom-made to order, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply once production has begun.


4. Order Cancellations

4.1 Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing as soon as possible.

4.2 If cancellation is requested before production has commenced, a refund will be issued minus a 30% cancellation fee to cover administrative costs and materials sourcing.

4.3 If production has already begun, we reserve the right to:

  • Refuse cancellation; or

  • Retain an amount reflecting the work already completed and costs incurred.

4.4 Orders that have already been produced, or are substantially completed / near completion, cannot be cancelled.

4.5 Orders that have been dispatched cannot be cancelled.


5. Returns & Consumer Rights

5.1 As custom-made goods are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period, returns are not accepted unless the item is faulty.

5.2 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers are entitled to goods that are:

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

  • As described

5.3 If a bonnet or pair of wings is faulty, customers must notify us within 30 days of delivery.

5.4 If a fault is confirmed, customers may be entitled to:

  • A repair;

  • A replacement; or

  • A refund, in accordance with statutory rights.

5.5 This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.


6. Policy Acceptance

6.1 By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that their bonnet and/or wings are custom-made items.

6.2 By completing a purchase, the customer agrees to this Custom Bonnet & Wings Policy.
