Important notes:
- DO NOT remove the casing from the new dash. This will VOID all warranty.
- Prepare all of the tools before you start, you will need a torx kit, and trim tool.
- DO NOT force any plugs into place. If it is stiff, it is not correctly lined up.
- Make sure your ignition is OFF throughout the process.
- DO NOT try to start the car whilst the display is off.
- Please feel free to contact us if you need any help!
- On 6C models, once refitted you may see a small gap at the bottom of the display. This is normal for the 6C, and does not impact use.
Installing your new display
Installation Instructions
Before you begin, we recommend booking a professional installation with DIVERSION for complete peace of mind.
Preparation
-
Pull the steering wheel adjustment lever and move the steering wheel outwards and downwards as far as possible to create space.
-
Remove the plastic trim below the display by gently pulling it away. A trim removal tool can help prevent damage.
-
Remove the 2 × T20 Torx screws located beneath the instrument cluster and store them somewhere safe.
Removing the Original Cluster
-
Carefully pull the original cluster towards you and disconnect the wiring plug.
-
Once removed, place the cluster on a clean, clear workspace.
-
Remove the rear plastic casing from the original cluster.
-
Using a trim tool, gently remove the gauge needles and the plastic gauge face from the motherboard.
⚠️ Take extra care here—the motherboard is critical and must not be damaged.
Transferring Components
-
Remove the original LED display from the motherboard by releasing any screws or clips.
-
Store all original components safely in case you wish to revert the vehicle back to stock in the future.
Installing the New Display
-
Using the supplied wiring, connect the appropriate plugs:
-
1 plug into the new display
-
1 plug into the original motherboard
(Be gentle when connecting the plugs and ensure they are fully secure.)
-
-
Position the motherboard onto the back of the new display and align the screw holes.
-
Depending on your model, only some screw holes may line up. This is normal and there is no need to worry.
-
-
Refit the original black plastic casing onto the back of the new cluster and install the screws that fit.
-
Even if only 2 screws can be used, this is acceptable.
-
Testing
-
Connect the wiring loom to the vehicle’s main power connection.
-
Rest the display on the steering wheel and turn the ignition on to test functionality.
-
Some display settings may need to be adjusted depending on your vehicle model.
-
If you notice any issues, report them to our team immediately.
-
-
Test that all buttons work correctly.
-
Note: aftermarket buttons may not be compatible with this display.
-
