K&N Filter Care Service Kit – Aerosol (99-5000)
If you have a K&N oiled cotton air filter, keeping it clean and properly re-oiled is essential to maintaining its performance. Over time, dust, dirt and old filter oil build up in the filter material, reducing airflow and making it less effective at trapping contaminants. This K&N Filter Care Service Kit gives you everything you need to clean and restore your filter at home, quickly and easily.
What’s in the Kit
The kit includes two products that work together. First, K&N Power Kleen – an industrial-strength degreaser (a powerful cleaning solution) that breaks down dirt, grime and old filter oil so they can be rinsed away with water. Second, an aerosol can of K&N red filter oil, which is re-applied after cleaning to restore the filter’s ability to capture dust and particles effectively.
When the oil is applied correctly, it stays suspended in the cotton pleats of the filter, helping to trap contaminants before they reach your engine. This is what makes K&N oiled filters different from standard paper filters – they are designed to be cleaned and reused rather than replaced.
- Compatible with all K&N oiled cotton air filters
- Restores filter performance and helps extend the life of your filter
- Full cleaning instructions are included in the kit
- The whole process typically takes less than 15 minutes
Regular servicing of your K&N filter is the best way to ensure it continues to flow well and protect your engine. Skipping maintenance can lead to a clogged filter, which restricts airflow and may affect engine performance.
Important: After cleaning and re-oiling, allow the filter to dry fully before refitting it to your vehicle. Do not use heat to speed up drying, as this can damage the filter.
This kit is suitable for all K&N oiled air filters, whether a panel replacement filter or a performance induction kit. If you prefer not to use an aerosol, K&N also offer this service kit in a squeeze bottle format.
