Description
BMW really came to be recognised as producers of performance saloons after the formation of their famous M Division in the 1970’s and a real game changer for them was the launch of the E30 M3 in 1986 which went on to gain numerous championship victories in touring car racing. One of the first exhausts Scorpion developed was their own performance exhaust for the E30 M3 and at the same time Scorpion introduced the legendary DTM tailpipe to the UK market. Ever since Scorpion has been at the forefront of producing performance exhausts for BMW’s M cars and numerous others.
Key Features:
- Lifetime guarantee *
- T304 motorsport grade stainless steel material
- Cat-back system (non-res, valved), single mid pipe, turbo downpipes (sports cat/de-cat), tailpipe upgrade kit, & tunnel brace available
- Flexible upgrading, progressive tuning in stages
- Choice of quad polished/black ceramic Daytona or carbon Ascari tailpipes
- Designed, developed, and manufactured in Derbyshire, UK since 1992
Cat-Back System:
Our expert technicians have developed an 70mm/2.75” Cat-back system with quad 90mm tailpipes specifically for the BMW F82/83 M4 non-GPF model. Here’s a closer look at the specifications and available options!
This exhaust can be optioned as non-resonated (this option removes the original silencer and is louder).
Does our system retain valve functionality? Yes! Drivers can continue to control the car's soundtrack via the mode select button inside the car. This allows the ECU to modulate the sound levels emitted from your Scorpion exhaust.
Once installed, the new freer-flowing cat-back system ensures efficient expulsion of exhaust gases, improving the vehicle's power delivery and sharpening throttle response while also reducing overall weight.
Tailpipe Styles:
Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.
Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.
Tailpipe Finishes:
Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining (Daytona).
Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish (Daytona).
Tailpipe Upgrade Kit:
We offer a tailpipe upgrade kit for this system. Thanks to our modular exhaust design, you can upgrade to our premium trim option at any time. This kit isn’t necessary if you’re purchasing a system that already includes tailpipes, but it provides flexibility for those who wish to make the change or upgrade in the future.
Single Mid Pipe:
What benefits does a single mid-pipe provide? This full firepower option removes the restrictive OEM portion, which otherwise muffles the exhaust tone, creates intensive back-pressure, and limits tuning potential. Moreover, the 89.9mm/3.5” large diameter pipework provides vastly improved turbo spooling and a thunderous exhaust note.
Unlike other offerings, our single mid-pipe comes paired with a lightweight aluminium chassis brace, designed to accommodate the larger diameter pipe and provide proper clearance. The single-piece manufacturing process ensures a high-strength connection under load. Braces are powder-coated black and etched with the Scorpion mark.
Note: This product is compatible only with the OEM rear silencer.
Downpipes:
We’re offering 70mm/2.75” downpipes for those seeking superior tuning potential, both on the dyno and on the track. Scorpion’s advanced downpipe technology enables unrivalled engine output.
Choose the 200-cell sport catalyst for significantly improved flow over OEM or opt for unrestricted de-cats for maximum gains (for motorsport use only).
Exhaust Tunnel Brace:
Want to tighten your grip on the road? Scorpion’s lightweight aluminium chassis braces tick all the boxes. The single-piece manufacturing process ensures a high-strength connection under load. Braces are powder-coated black and etched with the Scorpion mark.
Our underbody bracing reduces performance loss due to chassis twist during hard braking or cornering. Enhanced body rigidity translates to a more direct feel with the road surface. (Fits both the Scorpion and OEM pipework.)
Fully Interchangeable:
Scorpion’s interchangeable program allows for flexible upgrades. As you progress through different tuning stages, your exhaust can be modified to meet your evolving needs. Check the individual product's technical data for fitment information, as fitment may vary between products.
The Scorpion Advantage:
Precision-engineered Scorpion exhausts incorporate our cutting-edge track-to-road technology, sharing proven motorsport tech with you. Crafted from premium T304 stainless steel, designed to endure the harshest of conditions. CNC Mandrel bent construction provides unmatched gas-flow, enhancing throttle response and boosting BHP. The manufacturing process also ensures weight-saving gains compared to OEM.
Upgrade with Scorpion today for unrivalled acoustics and a driving experience taken to the next level!
