VAGSport Braided Brake Lines Polo Mk5 1.8 GTI (6R) (2014-17)
VAGSport’s reinforced braided brake hoses represent unrivalled quality in the world of high-performance braking. All our hoses are tested to extremes in both the laboratory, and on the racetrack where they’ve proven themselves time and time again.
Each VAGSport kit is assembled using premium grade precision machined stainless steel fittings. These fittings are then swaged directly to hard drawn high tensile stainless braided hose and the hose is finished off in our smooth carbon outer shield. The smooth translucent finish gives a quality OEM+ look while still allowing the exquisite weave of the stainless braid inside to be seen. This means the kits look and last as well as they perform.
Why are braided brake lines so important?
Upgrading is essential to any performance driver as it eliminates the potential ‘spongy’ feeling often found with stock rubber hoses under harsh braking conditions, this sponginess is due largely to the materials used as the rubber hose can expand under pressure especially when hot this means all the pressure from the driver’s effort is not fully transferred to the brake calipers. Upgrading to VAGSport braided brake lines eliminates the expansion giving a more direct feed. The result is better braking and better feedback and less brake fade when pushing hard on track or in spirited driving.All our kits have been designed as direct-fit replacement for the OEM setup. Unlike other kits, we even include replacement crush washers and banjo bolts (where required) so other than bleeding the braking system you will not need anything else to upgrade from your stock hoses to these.
