VAGSport Lower Dogbone Insert
The VAGSport mount is precision machined to fill the voids in your factory-fitted lower subframe mount. Eliminating some negative characteristics of the factory design instantly!
Filling these voids drastically reduces the forward and backwards movement of the engine and gearbox (‘bucking’) when accelerating and braking. On front-wheel drive vehicles, this is particularly important to address because the forward and backwards movement is much more severe. Under hard acceleration, the engine jolts violently back and forth creating a horrible banging known as “wheel hop”. With the VAGSport lower mount insert that movement is reduced so wheel hop is a thing of the past and all your power is smoothly transferred to the wheels, maintaining grip and acceleration.
The 6061 aluminium was chosen for this application due to its properties, the results are:
- CNC Machined out of 6061 billet aluminium alloy.
- Minimal transference of NVH throughout the cabin
- On a young stock mount, it perfectly fills the voids.
- On a slightly worn stock mount, the material can deflect slightly to bridge the gap without failing.
- Anodized black coating for protection, looking better for longer.

Which Version do I need?
The factory mount comes in two version across the VAG platform of included vehicles. See out diagram below for a visual key to choosing the correct mount.
- OE part: 5Q0 198 037 C – You’ll require the VAGSport Version 1 Insert
- OE part: 5Q0 198 037 B – You’ll require the VAGSport Version 2 Insert
Fitting Specification
- When fitting please Torque to 135 Nm
*Failure of the product is defined as fully snapped under load.
